Overview

The black-faced warbler (Abroscopus schisticeps) is a species of bush warbler in the family Cettiidae that was formerly included in the 'Old World warbler' assemblage. It is classified as a species of Least Concern on the IUCN Red List.

Habitat

Found across Bhutan, China, India, Myanmar, Nepal, and Vietnam, this non-migratory bird inhabits subtropical or tropical moist lowland and montane forests and scrub. It typically occurs at altitudes ranging from 1,500 to 2,700 m, occasionally descending to 600 m.
