Overview

The Aethopyga christinae is a small avian species in the family Nectariniidae, first described by Robert Swinhoe in 1869. Its current conservation status is classified as Least Concern.

Identification

• Small in size.
• Possesses a decurved bill.
• Vocalisations include a soft, frequent 'zwink-zwink' and a metallic trill.

Habitat

This species inhabits subtropical or tropical moist lowland forests across China, Hong Kong, Laos, and Vietnam.
