Overview

The Asian short-toed lark (Alaudala cheleensis) is a member of the lark family Alaudidae. First described in 1871 by Robert Swinhoe, it is distributed across south-central and eastern Asia.

Habitat

The species is found throughout south-central to eastern Asia, with subspecies ranging from Kazakhstan and Turkmenistan in the west to south-central Siberia, Mongolia, and China in the east.
