Overview

The honeyguide greenbul (Baeopogon indicator) is a species of songbird within the bulbul family, Pycnonotidae. It is also known as the honeyguide bulbul or white-tailed greenbul.

Habitat

This bird is widespread throughout the African tropical rainforest. Its range spans from Sierra Leone to Togo, and extends from Nigeria to southern Sudan, western Kenya, southern Democratic Republic of the Congo, north-western Zambia, and northern Angola.

Did you know?

The species was originally described in the genus Criniger before being re-classified to the genus Baeopogon.
