Overview

The red-tailed bristlebill, also known as the common bristlebill, is a species of songbird in the bulbul family, Pycnonotidae. It is classified as Least Concern on the IUCN Red List.

Habitat

This species is widely present throughout the African tropical rainforest, where it prefers primary over secondary forests. Its range extends from Sierra Leone to western Democratic Republic of the Congo and northern Angola, as well as from eastern Democratic Republic of the Congo to southern Sudan, western Kenya, and north-western Zambia.

Diet

The bird is an ant follower.
