Overview

The African grey flycatcher, also known as the grayish flycatcher or large flycatcher, is a passerine bird in the Old World flycatcher family Muscicapidae. It is currently classified as Least Concern on the IUCN Red List.

Habitat

Found in Ethiopia, Kenya, Somalia, South Sudan, Tanzania, and Uganda, this species inhabits dry savanna and subtropical or tropical dry shrubland environments.

Did you know?

The subspecies Bradornis microrhynchus pumilus is sometimes recognised as a full species distinct from the main taxon, in which case it is called the Ethiopian grey flycatcher (Bradornis pumilus).
