Overview

The pink-breasted lark, also known as the pink-breasted bushlark, is a species of passerine bird in the family Alaudidae. It is classified as Least Concern on the IUCN Red List.

Habitat

The species inhabits dry savannah, open bush, and wooded areas, with a particular preference for dry acacia and Commiphora scrub. Its range covers a broad area from south-eastern South Sudan and southern Ethiopia through Kenya to southern Somalia, north-eastern Tanzania, and eastern Uganda.

Diet

Foraging is conducted on the ground, where the bird feeds on insects and seeds. It is typically found singly or in pairs while foraging.
