The white-naped monarch (Carterornis pileatus) is a species of bird in the family Monarchidae that is endemic to Indonesia, where it occurs in the Maluku Islands.

Habitat

This species inhabits subtropical or tropical moist lowland forests within the Maluku Islands of Indonesia, where two subspecies are currently recognized.

The species was formerly placed in the genus Monarcha until it was moved to Carterornis in 2009.
