Overview

The Chersomanes albofasciata is a species of lark in the family Alaudidae found in southern Africa. It is also known as the rufous long-billed lark and was previously classified under the genus Certhilauda.

Habitat

This bird resides in subtropical or tropical dry shrubland and subtropical or seasonally wet or flooded lowland grassland. Its range covers parts of Angola, Namibia, Botswana, and South Africa.

The species has ten recognized subspecies, which differ geographically from south-western Angola to southern South Africa.
