The Papuan grassbird (Cinfloramphus macrurus) is a species of typical grassbird in the family Locustellidae. It was previously considered part of the tawny grassbird but is now recognised as distinct, as the two do not interbreed in areas where their ranges overlap. The species is classified as Least Concern on the IUCN Red List.

Habitat

Endemic to New Guinea and its satellite islands, including New Britain and New Ireland, the species inhabits montane areas. There are seven recognised subspecies distributed across these regions.
