Overview

The ash-colored cuckoo (Coccycua cinerea) is an American bird species belonging to the cuckoo family, Cuculidae. It has been reclassified into the genus Coccycua following the discovery that it forms a distinct lineage around the little cuckoo.

Habitat

Its range extends from northern and central Argentina to Uruguay and São Paulo, with its wintering range extending northwards towards Amazonas. It inhabits subtropical or tropical dry forests as well as subtropical or tropical moist lowland forests.
