Overview
The rufous-tailed shama (Copsychus pyrropygus) is a species of passerine bird in the Old World flycatcher family Muscicapidae. It is currently classified within the genus Copsychus following a molecular phylogenetic study, having previously been placed in the monotypic genus Trichixos.
Habitat
Found in extreme southern Thailand, Malaysia, Sumatra, and Borneo, this species inhabits subtropical or tropical moist lowland forests as well as subtropical or tropical swamps. It is currently threatened by habitat loss.
