The white-bellied canary, or Crithagra dorsostriata, is a species of finch within the family Fringillidae. Currently classified as Least Concern on the IUCN Red List, it is distinct from its former placement in the genus Serinus following taxonomic revisions.

Habitat

Found in Ethiopia, Kenya, Somalia, South Sudan, Tanzania, and Uganda, this bird inhabits dry savanna environments.
