Overview

The Madagascan yellowbrow, also known as the yellow-browed oxylabes, is a species of Malagasy warbler found only in Madagascar. Formerly the sole member of the genus Crossleyia, the genus now also includes the dusky tetraka. The species is currently listed as Least Concern on the IUCN Red List but faces threats from habitat loss.

Habitat

The natural habitat of this bird is subtropical or tropical moist montane forests. Its range is restricted to the island of Madagascar.

Did you know?

Until a molecular genetic study published in 2019, the species was the sole member of the genus Crossleyia before the rare and endangered dusky tetraka was moved into it.
