Overview

The banded parisoma, also known as the banded tit warbler or banded warbler, is a species of Old World warbler in the family Sylviidae. It is currently classified as Least Concern on the IUCN Red List.

Identification

  • Grey on top with white underparts.
  • Distinctive dark chest band.
  • Variable spotting on the throat and white patches on the wings and outer tail.
  • Buff coloring on the belly and undertail.
  • Measures 4.75 in (12.1 cm) in length.

Habitat

Found in Ethiopia, Kenya, Somalia, and Tanzania, where it inhabits dry savanna environments. Three subspecies are recognised across these regions.
