Overview

The cinnamon-bellied imperial pigeon (Ducula basilica) is a species of bird in the family Columbidae, endemic to the northern Moluccas of Indonesia. It is currently listed as Least Concern on the IUCN Red List and is known to consist of two subspecies, one of which is sometimes treated as a separate species.

Habitat

This species inhabits subtropical or tropical moist lowland forests. Its range is restricted to the northern Moluccas, including the Halmahera and Obi Islands in the Maluku archipelago.
