Overview

The Ducula rubricera is a member of the pigeon family Columbidae, currently classified as a species of least concern by the IUCN.

This species inhabits subtropical or tropical moist lowland forests within the Bismarck Archipelago and the Solomon Islands archipelago.

Red-knobbed imperial pigeons frequently forage in groups consisting of five to ten individuals.
