Overview

The orange-sided thrush, also known as the orange-banded thrush (Geokichla peronii), is a bird species within the family Turdidae. It is currently classified as Near Threatened on the IUCN Red List due to ongoing habitat loss.

Habitat

This species is restricted to Timor island and the southern Maluku Islands. It inhabits subtropical or tropical dry forests as well as subtropical or tropical moist lowland forests.
