Overview

The spotted greenbul, also known as the spotted bulbul (Ixonotus guttatus), is a species of songbird in the bulbul family, Pycnonotidae. It is widely distributed across the African tropical rainforest and is currently classified as Least Concern on the IUCN Red List.

Habitat

It inhabits subtropical or tropical dry forests, moist lowland forests, and moist savannas. Its range spans from Sierra Leone and Guinea to Ghana, extending through southern Nigeria, Uganda, northern Tanzania, the eastern and central Democratic Republic of the Congo, and extreme north-western Angola.
