Overview

The mountain bulbul (Ixos mcclellandii) is a songbird in the bulbul family, Pycnonotidae. It is native to Southeast Asia and is currently classified as Least Concern by the IUCN.

Habitat

The species is distributed from the Indian subcontinent and southern China through Indochina to the Malay Peninsula. Its natural habitat consists of broadleaved evergreen forests at altitudes between 800 m and 2590 m ASL.
