The dotted tanager (Ixothraupis varia) is a species of bird in the family Thraupidae. It is native to parts of South and Central America.
Habitat
Found in Brazil, French Guiana, Suriname, and Venezuela. Its natural habitats consist of subtropical or tropical moist lowland forests as well as heavily degraded former forest.
