Overview

The purple-naped spiderhunter, also known as the purple-naped sunbird (Kurochkinegramma hypogrammicum), is a bird species in the family Nectariniidae. It is the sole representative of its genus and is currently classified as Least Concern on the IUCN Red List.

Habitat

Found in Southeast Asia ranging from Myanmar to Sumatra and Borneo, this species inhabits subtropical or tropical moist lowland forests.
