The fluffy-backed tit-babbler, Macronus ptilosus, is a species of bird in the family Timaliidae. It is currently classified as Near Threatened by the IUCN Red List due to habitat loss.

Habitat

This species inhabits subtropical or tropical moist lowland forests and swamplands. Its range covers Brunei, Indonesia, Malaysia, and Thailand, with two subspecies distributed across the Malay Peninsula, Sumatra, the Batu Islands, the Bangka Belitung Islands, and Borneo.
