Overview

The Grey-throated Warbling Finch, or Microspingus cabanisi, is a small passerine bird within the family Thraupidae. It was previously classified as the same species as the buff-throated warbling finch before being split in 2009.

Habitat

This species inhabits forest borders and woodland areas. Its range extends across south-eastern Brazil, the far eastern parts of Paraguay, the far north-eastern region of Argentina, and Uruguay.

Did you know?

The SACC split this species from the buff-throated warbling finch in 2009, as both were formerly regarded as a single conspecific entity known as the red-rumped warbling finch.
