The steel-blue flycatcher (Myiagra ferrocyanea) is a species of bird in the family Monarchidae. It is also known by several alternate names, including Solomons flycatcher, Solomons satin flycatcher, and steel-blue Myiagra.

Habitat

The species is found in Papua New Guinea and the Solomon Islands. Its subspecies are distributed across specific regions, including Bougainville Island, Buka Island, Santa Isabel Island, Choiseul Island, Guadalcanal, the New Georgia Islands, and Malaita.

Did you know?

The subspecies M. f. feminina was originally described as a separate species before being recognised as part of Myiagra ferrocyanea.
