The short-tailed scimitar babbler, also known as the Indochinese wren-babbler, is a Near Threatened species of bird in the family Pellorneidae. It is found in Laos and Vietnam, where it inhabits moist lowland and montane forests.

Habitat

Its natural habitats are subtropical or tropical moist lowland forest and subtropical or tropical moist montane forest. The species has a limited range restricted to Laos and Vietnam.
