Overview

The large niltava is a species of bird within the Old World flycatcher family Muscicapidae. It was formally described in 1842 by Edward Blyth and is currently classified as Least Concern on the IUCN Red List.

Habitat

This bird inhabits subtropical or tropical montane forests. Its range extends across Bangladesh, Bhutan, Cambodia, China, India, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, Myanmar, Nepal, Thailand, and Vietnam.
