Overview

The tit berrypecker is a species of bird in the family Paramythiidae. It is monotypic within the genus Oreocharis and was first described by Christian Erich Hermann von Meyer in 1875.

Habitat

This species inhabits the New Guinea Highlands and is more scarcely distributed in the northern parts of the island. It resides in subtropical or tropical moist montane forests.
