Overview

The mangrove whistler, Pachycephala cinerea, is a species of bird in the family Pachycephalidae found in South-east Asia. It is also known by the alternate names grey thickhead and white-bellied whistler.

Habitat

This species is found in South-east Asia, with the nominate subspecies ranging from northeastern India to Indochina and the Greater Sundas. A second subspecies, the Palawan thickhead, is found in Palawan, Philippines.

Did you know?

The common name white-bellied whistler should not be confused with a different species of the same name, Pachycephala leucogastra.
