The regent whistler (Pachycephala schlegelii) is a species of bird in the family Pachycephalidae that is endemic to the highlands of New Guinea. It is currently listed as Least Concern on the IUCN Red List.

Habitat

This bird inhabits subtropical or tropical moist montane forests. Its range is restricted to the highlands of New Guinea, where three subspecies are recognised across the northwest, north-central, and west-central to eastern regions.
