The Phyllastrephus strepitans is a species of songbird belonging to the bulbul family, Pycnonotidae. It is also known by the alternate names East African scrub bulbul and northern brown bulbul.

Habitat

This species is found in eastern Africa, inhabiting subtropical or tropical dry forests, dry savanna, and subtropical or tropical dry shrubland.
