Overview

Martens's warbler (Phylloscopus omeiensis), also known as the Omei warbler or Emei Shan warbler, is a species of Old World warbler found in China and Myanmar. It was first described in 1999 and is currently classified as Least Concern on the IUCN Red List.

Habitat

This species inhabits temperate forests as well as subtropical or tropical moist montane forests. Its range is limited to China and Myanmar.

Initially placed in the genus Seicercus, a 2018 molecular phylogenetic study led to the merging of Seicercus and Phylloscopus, as neither was found to be monophyletic.
