Overview
The striped prinia, also known as Swinhoe's prinia, is a species of bird in the family Cisticolidae. It was formerly grouped with the Himalayan prinia but was split from it in 2019 following a taxonomic study.
Habitat
This species is distributed throughout mainland China and Taiwan. It is sympatric with Prinia crinigera in Yunnan Province and includes the subspecies P. s. catharia, which ranges from northeast India through Myanmar to south-central China.
