The hill prinia is a passerine bird classified in the family Cisticolidae. It is currently listed as a species of Least Concern on the IUCN Red List.

Habitat

The hill prinia is found in China, India, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, Myanmar, Thailand and Vietnam. It was formerly considered con-specific with the black-throated prinia.
