Habitat

This species inhabits temperate forests across a wide range including Afghanistan, Bhutan, Tibet, China, India, Myanmar, Nepal, and Pakistan. It specifically resides in the Himalayas, with two subspecies covering east Afghanistan, the west Himalayas, central and east Himalayas, central China, and north Myanmar.
