The Psilopogon armillaris is an Asian barbet species native to Java and Bali. It is currently classified as Least Concern on the IUCN Red List.

Identification

  • Green plumage with a distinctive yellow-orange forehead
  • Blue nape and an orange crescent marking on the chest
  • Length of 19.5–23 cm and weight of 61–79 g

Habitat

Found in Java and Bali, the species inhabits subtropical or tropical moist lowland forests as well as subtropical or tropical moist montane forests.
