The yellow-bibbed fruit dove, also known as the yellow-banded fruit dove, is a member of the family Columbidae. It is currently classified as Least Concern on the IUCN Red List.

Habitat

This species inhabits subtropical and tropical moist lowland forests. Its range is restricted to the Bismarck and Solomon Islands archipelagos.

Did you know?

Until 2021, the Geelvink fruit dove was considered part of the same species, but the IOC subsequently split Ptilinopus speciosus as a distinct taxon.
