Habitat

This species inhabits subtropical or tropical moist lowland forests across south-eastern Asia and the Greater Sunda Islands, including Sumatra, the Malay Peninsula, Borneo, Java, Bali, and the western and southern Philippines.

Diet

It feeds on a diet consisting of fruit and insects.

The ashy-fronted bulbul was previously considered a subspecies of the olive-winged bulbul until 2010, when it was separated into its own species.
