Overview

The grey-throated martin, also known as the Asian plain martin, is a small passerine bird in the swallow family. It was formerly considered a subspecies of the plain martin, which is now renamed the brown-throated martin.

Habitat

The species inhabits open environments such as farmland, grassland and savannah, typically located near water. Its range extends from Tajikistan, Afghanistan and the Indian subcontinent to southern China, Taiwan, and the northern Philippines.
