The yellow-throated fulvetta (Schoeniparus cinereus) is a bird species currently listed as Least Concern on the IUCN Red List. Its common name is considered misleading as it is not a close relative of the typical fulvettas.

Habitat

Found in south-eastern Asia from the Himalayas to north-central Vietnam, the species inhabits subtropical or tropical moist montane forests.

Despite its name suggesting a close relationship, the yellow-throated fulvetta is not a close relative of the 'typical' fulvettas, which are now classified in the family Paradoxornithidae.
