Overview

The Patagonian yellow finch (Sicalis lebruni) is a species of bird in the family Thraupidae classified as Least Concern on the IUCN Red List. It is native to the southern regions of South America.

Habitat

Found in Patagonia and Tierra del Fuego in southern Argentina and Chile, the species inhabits subtropical or tropical dry shrubland and temperate grassland. Its range extends across the southern half of Argentina in eastern and central regions, as well as the northern half of Tierra del Fuego and extreme southern Chile.
