The pearly-bellied seedeater (Sporophila pileata) is a bird species in the family Thraupidae that was previously lumped with the copper seedeater as the capped seedeater before being split in February 2012. It is currently listed as Least Concern on the IUCN Red List.

Habitat

This species is found in southern Brazil, Paraguay, northern Uruguay, and northeastern Argentina. Its natural habitat is dry savanna.
