The dark-throated seedeater (Sporophila ruficollis) is a Near Threatened bird species in the family Thraupidae. It is native to Argentina, Bolivia, Brazil, Paraguay, and Uruguay.

Habitat

This species inhabits dry savanna and subtropical or tropical seasonally wet or flooded lowland grassland. Its range covers Argentina, Bolivia, Brazil, Paraguay, and Uruguay, where it can still be found at the Quebrada de los Cuervos.
