The grey-throated babbler (Stachyris nigriceps) is a passerine bird belonging to the Old World babbler family Timaliidae. First described by Edward Blyth in 1844, the species is currently listed as Least Concern on the IUCN Red List.

Habitat

Found across a wide range in South and Southeast Asia, including Bangladesh, Bhutan, China, India, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, Myanmar, Nepal, Thailand, and Vietnam. Its natural habitats consist of subtropical or tropical moist lowland forests and subtropical or tropical moist montane forests.
