Overview

The white-gaped honeyeater (Stomiopera unicolor) is a species of bird in the family Meliphagidae. It is endemic to Australia and was reclassified from the genus Lichenostomus to Stomiopera following a 2011 molecular phylogenetic analysis.

Habitat

This species inhabits subtropical or tropical moist lowland forests as well as subtropical or tropical mangrove forests. Its range is restricted to Australia.
