The Malabar starling (Sturnia blythii) is a species of starling native to southwestern India. It is a monotypic species that was formerly considered a subspecies of the chestnut-tailed starling.
Habitat
This species is found in southwestern India, where it nests in tree holes situated 3-15 mm above the ground.
Diet
Nestlings consume insects, lepidopteran larvae, beetles, small vertebrates, and nectar.
