Overview

The green-and-gold tanager (Tangara schrankii) is a species of bird in the family Thraupidae and one of 27 species within the genus Tangara. It is currently classified as Least Concern on the IUCN Red List.

Habitat

Found in the western and central Amazon Basin, its range extends from eastern Venezuela, Colombia, Ecuador, and Peru into central Bolivia and northwestern Brazil. Its natural habitats consist of subtropical or tropical moist lowland forests and subtropical or tropical swamps.
