The gorgeous bushshrike, also known as the four-coloured bushshrike, is a bird species in the family Malaconotidae. It is classified as Least Concern on the IUCN Red List.

Habitat

This species primarily dwells in densely vegetated woodlands. Its range includes Angola, the Republic of the Congo, the Democratic Republic of the Congo, Gabon, and Zambia for the nominate subspecies, while other subspecies are found in coastal Kenya and Tanzania, Malawi, Mozambique and Zimbabwe, and South Africa and Eswatini.

Diet

Gorgeous bush-shrikes are primarily insectivorous. They forage by gleaning insects from the understory growth they inhabit.
