Overview

The northern red-billed hornbill (Tockus erythrorhynchus) is a species of hornbill in the family Bucerotidae. It is currently classified as a Least Concern species on the IUCN Red List.

Habitat

This species is found from southern Mauritania through Somalia and northeast Tanzania. There are five species of red-billed hornbills recognised, though some authorities still classify them as subspecies of Tockus erythrorhynchus rather than distinct species.
