The blue-headed crested flycatcher is a species of bird in the family Monarchidae, native to the African tropical forest. It is currently listed as Least Concern on the IUCN Red List.

Habitat

This species inhabits African tropical forests. Its range extends from Guinea to Togo and from Nigeria to southern Sudan, Uganda, the Democratic Republic of Congo, and northwestern Angola.

The species has undergone taxonomic changes, with some authorities formerly placing it in the genus Terpsiphone. It also goes by the alternate names blue-headed flycatcher and blue-headed paradise-flycatcher.
